At the SAGE Center & Event Center, our mission has always been to connect people to the industries, innovations, and opportunities that shape our region. Every day, we see the impact that hands-on learning can have on students, families, and visitors who walk through our doors.
Now, we’re taking that experience on the road!
We’re excited to share the early development of SAGE On The Go, a mobile outreach program designed to bring the SAGE experience directly into schools, communities, and events throughout Morrow and Umatilla Counties.
This initiative was created with a simple goal in mind: to expand access. While the SAGE Center has become a destination for interactive education, we recognize that not every student or family has the ability to visit us in person. Transportation, distance, and time can all be barriers. SAGE On The Go is our way of meeting communities where they are.
Through this program, we will deliver hands-on STEAM experiences that highlight agriculture, energy, and technology while connecting students to real-world career pathways right here in our region. From classroom visits to community events, SAGE On The Go is designed to be flexible, engaging, and rooted in the industries that drive our local economy.
We are currently developing the program and preparing our mobile unit to bring hands-on, engaging learning experiences directly to schools and communities across our region.
As we continue this work, we are looking ahead to an exciting milestone. This is just the beginning.
SAGE On The Go represents more than a new program. It reflects our continued commitment to education, workforce development, and community connection. By bringing these experiences directly into our communities, we hope to inspire curiosity, support educators, and create new pathways for the next generation.
We look forward to sharing more as SAGE On The Go continues to grow and take shape.
Thank you to those who contributed to the SAGE On The Go Outreach effort, Amazon, Pierre Ford, Lamb Weston, Tillamook, Port of Morrow, and Oregon Women For Agriculture. We appreciate your support of further STEAM education development in our region.
